I am not writing this because I made it. I am writing this because I am still in the middle of it, and I want you to see the whole thing honestly, from where I actually stand.
This is not a success story. It is the story of why I picked affiliate marketing over every other option in front of me, and why I am building The Passive Circle around it.
The Job That Was Never Enough
I work full-time in Accounts and Finance for a company in Dhaka. My hours run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., six days a week.
The work itself is not hard. It is just endless. Data entry, reports, more data entry.
My salary barely moves, no matter how many extra hours I give it.
Promotions felt distant. I noticed something else too: even changing jobs would not have changed much. A different desk, the same trade of hours for a number that never really grows.
That realization sat with me longer than any single bad day at the office did. It is also where the next part of this story really starts, not at the office, but at home.
What I Was Really Missing
My family lives in the village. My son is four. On the phone, he asks me, “Dad, can I live with you in Dhaka?”
I do not have a good answer for him. Dhaka is expensive and crowded, and honestly, I do not think it is the right place to raise a child anyway.
Around the same time, my wife told me she was pregnant with our second child, a daughter. I remember feeling two things at once. Real happiness, and a quiet fear that I would miss the moments that mattered most while I sat behind a desk.
It was never really about hating the work. It was about realizing this job could never buy back my time with the people I was doing it for.
That single realization is what sent me looking for something else.
The Search for Freedom
I started paying attention to people online who seemed to have what I wanted. Bloggers, small YouTube creators, and people running simple online businesses. Nothing flashy. Just more control over their own days.
I remember thinking, if someone like that can build this from nothing, why not me?
But I hesitated for a long time before doing anything about it.
In Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki writes that what really separates a wealthy mindset from a poor one is not luck or money, but how a person handles fear. I read that line more than once. I realized fear, not lack of opportunity, was the thing actually keeping me still.
Once I saw that clearly, I had to test it against the one alternative everyone kept suggesting to me.
Why Not Freelancing
Freelancing was the obvious other option, and people suggested it to me more than once. I thought about it seriously, then said no.
Here is the comparison that actually made up my mind.

Why I Chose Digital Assets Instead
Somewhere in this thinking, my question changed. I stopped asking “how do I earn more” and started asking “what can I build once that keeps paying me back.”
A blog post I publish today can still bring in a reader, and a commission, a year from now. I am not repeating the work to get paid again.
Active income pays the bills today. Digital assets are what I am actually trying to build.
The Birth of The Passive Circle
Once the reasoning was clear in my head, the fear did not disappear. It just got quieter.
I remember sitting with the domain name already chosen, ThePassiveCircle.com, and still hesitating before I actually bought it.
The name itself means what it sounds like. Passive, because I want income that does not need every hour of my day. Circle, because I never wanted to do this alone, and I write everything here assuming someone else is a few steps behind me, asking the same questions I did.
